13.60 m TIR Truck & 40' HC Container Loading Guide: Assembled vs. Flat-Pack vs. Frame Kits

1. Vehicle Clearances: 13.60 m Curtain-Side TIR vs. 40' High Cube Sea Container

Understanding internal transport geometry prevents costly partial-truckload waste and ensures safe port/border clearance:

  • 13.60 m Standard TIR Trailer (Road Freight to Europe, Balkans, Iraq, Caucasus & Türkiye): Internal bed length 13,600 mm, width 2,480 mm (up to 3,000 mm wide-load flatbeds for 3×7 m assembled units), payload capacity ~24,000 kg.
  • 40' High Cube Sea Container (Maritime Export via Kocaeli / İstanbul Ports): Internal length 12,032 mm, internal door width 2,340 mm, internal height 2,698 mm — specifically requiring 2.40 m width models (SC-MK / W2400) or demounted Flat-Pack / Frame Kit bundles.

2. Complete Loading & Freight Efficiency Matrix

Shipping Configuration 13.60 m Road TIR Capacity 40' HC Sea Container Capacity Relative Freight Cost / Unit
Assembled 3.00 × 7.00 m (SC-K) 2 Units (Flatbed / Lowbed) Not compatible with 2.34 m sea door (ship Flat-Pack) 100% Baseline
Assembled 2.40 × 6.00 m (SC-MK) 2 Units 2 Units end-to-end (11.92 m < 12.03 m) 100% Baseline
Assembled 2.40 × 3.00 m Guard Cabin (SC-GK) 4 Units 4 Units ~50% per cabin
Complete Demountable Flat-Pack (3×7 m / 2.4×6 m) 8 – 10 Complete Units 8 Complete Units (2.40×6.00 m ISO module) ~22–25% (~75% Saved)
Bolt-Together Steel Frame Kits (FR / GR) 20 – 28 Frame Sets (~7–10 tons) 16 – 26 Frame Sets (up to 11.8 m length) ~10–12% (Max Density)

3. Mixed-SKU Consolidation & Free Factory Overhead Crane Loading

At our Gebze plant, overhead bridge cranes load steel-strapped frame bundles and flat-pack pallets free of charge (EXW / FCA Gebze). Buyers can mix painted and galvanized frames, flat and gable roofs, or combine guard cabins with frame bundles on the same vehicle. (110-Model Price List (PDF) · Frame Assembly & BOM Calculator).

Frequently Asked Technical & Export Questions

What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ) for container frame kits and can we mix different models?

For 3×7 m container frame kits, the minimum order is 10 sets. For all other frame dimensions, the minimum order is 20 sets. Mixed orders are accepted: you can combine different dimensions, roof types (Flat Roof and Gable A-Roof), and surface finishes (Painted and Galvanized).

Is there a minimum order requirement for ready modular containers (SC-K, SC-MK, SC-GK, SC-IK)?

No. Ready modular containers (accommodation units, site offices, security cabins, and WC/shower sanitary containers) can be ordered starting from 1 unit up to multi-unit construction camp packages.

How many container frame kits or ready containers fit into a 13.6m Truck (TIR) or 40' HC Sea Container?

For bolt-together demountable frame kits (such as 2.4×6 m or 3×7 m), a single 13.6m flatbed/curtain-side truck or 40' HC container holds approximately 20 to 28 sets depending on total weight and roof geometry. For factory-assembled 3×7 m ready containers, 1 truck carries 2 monoblock units (or 4–6 compact guard/sanitary cabins); for multi-unit export projects shipped in flat-pack configuration, 1 truck or 40' HC carries 6 to 10 units.

What is the difference between Flat Roof and Gable (A) Roof frame kits?

Flat Roof frame kits have a 2,600 mm external height and standard chassis/roof purlin structure. Gable (A) Roof frame kits feature 2,500 mm vertical side walls and dual-pitched steel roof trusses reaching a 2,850 mm ridge height, designed for rapid rainwater/snow runoff and residential aesthetics.

Do you offer Rockwool or PIR insulation and A/C preparation for Middle East & Gulf projects?

Yes. While our standard ready containers feature EPS insulated wall panels, you can select the "Hot Climate & Camp Option" in our quote calculator to upgrade to fire-rated Rockwool or high-density PIR panels, reinforced roof insulation, and pre-wired split A/C provisions for Iraq, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, and North Africa projects.

What is included in a container frame kit and what is excluded?

Each frame kit includes the bottom chassis perimeter beams, top roof perimeter frame, intermediate floor/roof purlins, 4 or 6 load-bearing corner columns, gable roof trusses/ridge beams (on A-roof models), lifting lugs, and the complete bolt/nut/washer fastener set. Wall panels, roof cladding sheets, floor boards, doors, windows, and site assembly are excluded from the frame-only kit.
